The guage for GOTY is IAA. Interactive Achievement Award. It is also the only award recognised by Wiki. Halo 2 had 84 GOTY nominations from outside media hence winning the title. as well as winning Excellence in Audio at the Game Developers Choice Awards. All 2005.

Love the way you used review media or spike lol for GOTY. Little point. Games like Half Life 2 or Halo have IAA awards. Not media awards. Have you ever watched Spike. It's laughable. Heck they gave GTA4 GOTY. How bad was that event. Unbearable.

Ahh your looking at Overall.

I was going off Consoles. I dont class PC and consoles as the same or competeing. PC is a neverending single generation which is modifiable. So it's kinda unfair. Especially technologically.

Halo 1 and 2 won Console GOTY. But yes your right Halo 3 didnt. So my statemnet is wrong. Sorry again.

But no, I dont attack other games in my OP's. It's usually a defece thread, where numerous Fanboys consistantly attack 360 games on this site. Mainly about graphics to. Apart from that, I couldnt care less.

Um Halo 2 won GOTY in 2005. GOW1 might have won PS2 game of the year in 2005. But Halo 2 won 84 GOTY awards. I have the Halo 3 legendary Edition. It said it on there.

Please read the thread. I apologise to you to. GOW1 won GOTY at IAA in 2005. Halo 2 was 2004.

The music playing in the trailer ruins it for me. The trailer is awful compared to the video of the 1st 10 minutes posted a while ago.

Although you shouldn't bring the PS3 into the discussion as it will only bring more conflicts, I still don't see anything wrong in your opening post. Alan Wake IS a GOTY contender that's for sure.
