yeah, GOW 3 is the best looking game out there, but you can finish it in 5 hours at the most in the second playthrough. I think that a game with that kind of lenght doesnt deserve a GOTY award. I think a good ps3 candidate could be mod nation racers, mainly because you can play it for months and continue finding new content online.

You can't skip the cutscenes, so atleast 8 hours !110one!!

It doesn't matter if that game is 5 hours long, or 30, or 200. As long as these hours are well spent and thorougly enjoyed it has a shot at GOTY. GOTY doesn't equal cash ratio per hour.

Actually you can skip the cutscenes.

EDIT:  Or did you mean you can't skip Alan Wake's cutscenes?  I thought you meant God of War 3

Personally, I think the actual trailer itself looked interesting, HOWEVER apart from the first site- ign, i have never heard of complex or tech land or whatever else they showed us. Its going to be a good game, just not as great as some expect.

Your credibilty goes down down as quick as your post count goes up, its a stunning achievement that you manage this.  You could call the video a lot of things, average is not one of those that many would use.  Stealthily done sir I doff my cap to you.

 

lol cause i care what you think, just so you know i was interested in this title up until they started to show more footage of it , it does not in anyway in my mind look like something "epic" or "goty" material,  im confused as to what part of this trailer im supposed to be in awe over?? the less mysterious the game becomes the more im losing interest is that so wrong?? im waiting for reviews like the rest of us resonable gamers.

stealthly done ??? are you serious? i have my 360 sitting under my ps3 , i just dont understand the hype , that is all

Well nearly all the previews have given in spectacular marks.  Only a few more days till review embargo is up.  You will see how well this game is loved.

The comments from IGN, Gamespot etc in the trailer. Gives the impression of 94+ meta. One comment even states GOTY contender. Funny enough only 2 games this year have ha comments like that from reviews. Mass Effect 2 and now Alan Wake.

Another comment stated it one-ups TV. I really cant wait to play this. Especially the tech of the engine. That was goddamn the best video Ive seen on tech for consoles.

And no i do not mean f*cker.  You are so hyped up.  Calm down.  I will admit this game does look amazing but you need to calm down.  Only thing i do not like about this game is how Alan moves.  He just doesn't move right.  He moves like he has something stuck up his a**.  Just saying.  And again i hope i am not offending you.

1. How does the gameplay feel?
2. Is the graphics as good as the movies? Could u compare them to the big dawgs like Killzone 2 and Crysis? (He didn't even mention Uncharted 2 & GoW 3.)
3. How long is the gameplay? I heard it was 20-30 hours...

1. Gameplay is good, can't really complain.
2. It depends what movies you're talking about, ofcourse its nicely done especially the lightning and the fog, but Crysis/Killzone 2-level? No.
3. Shorter, somewhere around 10 hours.

I think i'll take one of the editors opinion that have actually played the game when it comes to graphics. I don't see it becoming GOTY compared to the other bombshells.

Seriously, I don't see it being better than Mass Effect 2, but who can blame them? ME2 is a monster quality wise.
But I will enjoy every single second of this beauty.

Aldro dude, I loved the "Crysis-KZ2 level" comment. Man, they are not even in the same league. Crysis still looks a million light years better than Greyzone 2.
