Some people should take a step back at look at the shit posted in the first two pages...

Game looks good but it don't look like a GOTY to me. I think the game will be short too.

The trailer looks good, I think it will get GOTY for x360, but to be honest I still dont think it is as good as GOW III or Uncharted 2 and even Heavy Rain, the resoulution and textures used has hurt this game, not to mention the blurring that occurs when you move the camera.
Sorry I am just being honest, btw, I may still buy this game because I love a good scary game:):)

My opinion =
It does not look and play GOTY-Good imo. So many other games that will most likely crush AW such as GoW3,ME2,Halo Reach(Most likely). Seriously, i've lost count on how many games you claim to be the best and have the best graphics.

Why don't you just wait for them to be released then play them and come back writing something like this? I've noticed how the lower hype a game gets, the more OMFG AMAZING my experience becomes.

MGS4, Uncharted 2 were my best games ive played. I had not played a previous MGS before and my expectations were low, but boooy i never played a game like MGS4. It fucked my head up, amazing mtha fkin game.

Uncharted 1 was a great game and i was hyped to see what happends next for Drake. Uncharted 2 fucking raped uncharted 1 and it was so amazingly done it surprised me, really.

I played GoW1+2 when I heard about GoW3 and I felt the hype and the awesomeness of Kratos and couldn't wait to see what happends. GoW3 did deliver what I wanted, but it was expected. Or.. the boss parts made me OMFG! playing GoW1+2 in 2009 didn't feel as good as the Hades fight on GoW3 lol. I can only imagine how awesome GoW1&2 must have been when they were released.

Hype the shit out of the game when it's not even released is giving the game a lot of attention and that might push some games too far. If this was Halo, sure go ahead we've seen other Halo games.

But a new franchise and sure you might have played Max Payne or something, it's just not fair. If you have an opinion, write it on the offical alan wake thingie. No need to make a forum thread or atleast share your opinion in the text and not on the title.

We seriously need someone to keep track of Selnor's threads about best graphics or goty whatever. And we need someone to make a thread everytime the game is released and laugh/congratulate selnor for successfully guessing the right metacritic. (Which isn't hard when you predict sequels and/or many games, you're bound to have atleast one right.)

AW is not a buy for me personally.

Alan Wake does look like awesome game and with Halo:Reach got me thinking about future purchase of Xbox. But these games aren't god's work, best gfxzomg1!!1 and sure gotY1!!1!xx. Selonrs insecurity as a Xbox owner is reaching historical hights, next time he'll start promoting that Natal hit-a-ball as sure Goty with best graphigz.

Can't you even try to stop pissing people off? Noone here doubts that Alan Wake will be great game with great critical acclaim. After all, it's been developed by one of the most talented studios for 5 friggin years.
