How will they respond? You'll see in just a few minutes, I'm prepping an article on that right now...

Oh, wow. If their response is a Xen article, Microsoft is in bigger trouble than anybody would have guessed.

Wow, did you call them up?

I'm a big Xbox supporter as well, and I HATE the fact that they don't get enough real exclusives. We just haven't seen all that the 360 is capable of because no one is developing an engine just for it, they just use frickin' middleware all the time. Don't get me wrong, I love Gears and Mass Effect but come on, let's get an engine that uses every inch of that GPU!

I second this.

MS needs to buy more first party studios.

I'd rather they just create new studios like they're doing with 343 Industries

Honestly yeah they've lost Bungie but the studio they're putting together to take over Halo has a lot of talent involved. I mean they could just milk Halo for all it's worth but they seem to be putting together a studio that could live up to series past

Not really, other sites did so already. I would contact them if they didn't, though.

@badgenome: Usually, you make me laugh. This is one of the exceptions!

I'm not too horribly worried.  As long as they come out with awesome new games I will be happy.

Buy or Create, they need more first party studios.

Bungie went indie awhile ago. And the deal with Activision is only for one ip. Besides you will still get to play that game on your Xbox 360.

I doubt very much they would have told you anything, if you even got past the operator ...

I love how today everyone is posting this as a shock. It's not. Microsoft played this correctly. Bungie wanted their freedom. So MS said ok, but you have to make a couple more Halo games to give us time to get a new Halo centric studio started. It's not like Bungie got bought by Sony people.
