Well, delaying games is marketing wise idea - Nintendo doesn't want to repeat the same thing with 2008. If they had delayed Mario Kart Wii to the holidays, all would be ok.

meh your might be right but still i didnt want it to be delayed for that long.. a month or 2 is ok by not 6 months later lol

My guess for the delay

Their first plan for the end of year is not going to work out as planned.

Game is getting more polished and has set it back further for everyone

They want to be able to focus more on the series. Releasing it around Sin and Punishment 2 and Super Mario Galaxy "might" have hurt its sales, or the other way around.

Wouldnt you rather get the Nintendo standard than it being a bit rushed to the market?

Nintendo has not announced any sort of date for Metroid in the EU following the delay - the likelihood of it actually hitting in December is fairly small.

Ever since that dumbass James Burt sold pirated copies of NSMB. Wii, nintendo have stopped caring as much as they used to. We don't even have a date for super mario galaxy 2.

Edit: Just noticed the name of the game in the e-mail is 'Metroid: The Other M'. Maybe this is another game that's coming out in December and Metroid: Other M is still on track :D ............... (in mega denial) ...........   It could happen.
