Depends which style of Zelda you're talking about.


If you go with the 3D adventure I will say Okami as the closest and 3DDGH as the least similar.

If you go with the top down and/or 3/4 top down adventure I will say 3DDGH is the closest and Okami and Darksiders are nowhere close.

While true, it did come out in 2006 at least.  Your comparison would work better had MGS1 come out in 2000 or 2001 originally.

While it did come out only a few years ago, I like to highlight the difference because of people who say PS2 is last gen with no ramifications on this one. If PS2 is last gen, so is Okami. And so is disqualified from the thread. Also I hate when people imply Okami is a Wii exclusive, why did no one play it when it came out! haha. Eh I guess not too many people played it this gen either, sad.

Well, the Wii version is unique in it's interface, and it had a few tweaks (for for the better, some not).  It's recent, it's great and it's a Zelda clone, so thats good enough for me to count it.

There's no way Okami is more Zelda than 3D Dot. I mean duh.

Well, there seems to be two ways people are interpreting this thread:

1. Which of these Zelda clones is the best clone?

On that note I agree with you in that 3DDGH is the cloniest of the clones.

2. Here's some Zelda Clones, now which one is the best?

Since I haven't played 3DDGH, and I loved Okami, I went with that.

Yeah that's also what I think. Then I wouldn't know what to answer to #2.

Okami wins hands down IMHO. but if you consider it last-gen, then on the wii the only zelda clone i can think of is Final Fantasy: The Crystal Bearers. Not a perfect game, but at least it was better than most last-gen zelda clones (Starfox Adventures and Beyond Good & Evil, two very OVERRATED games.)
