I say this because of the news that Sony doesn't have any intention of cutting the PS3 price for at least another year, but how about if things fo really bad for them in sales, I'm pretty sure they would consider cutting the price of the console at least a bit, what would be the minimum cut to make a great difference?

Handhelds? Yes.

$20 just does not seem like a good enough number for me. People usually equate handhelds to "less expensive" so 20 would be perfect there. Rounder number (50/100) just always seemed better to me for consoles.

Improve sales, sure. Improve them enough to matter? I doubt it.

Probably not anything substantial, but $279.99 looks more appealing that $299.99.
