Yes it is.

can it do 3d on 360 like PS3 or like those 2D to 3D converter TV's?

Yes, Avatar in 3D is the exact same on 360 and PS3.

no one said it's not the same 3d.. why do you assume everyone thinks the 360 game is inferior with 3d..

Why do assume that that's what he thought? And wouldn't it make sense, seeing as the PS3 is getting upgraded to handle more advanced stereoscopic 3D?

HEY GUYS COOL DOWN.

i was just asking cause normally these systems can't handle 3d fully and can't output it,and thought they just implemented it in Avatar because of the new 3Dtv's that can take 2d OR HALF 3D signals and convert it to look 3D which mostly only adds depth but the the depth and sides of the character aren't detailed cause 3D converter processors don't have the AI to do it to perfection

But as now PS3 got upgraded,it could output true 3d as polished and orignally intended by thye developers and as seen on PC's.

And cause 360's didn't get any upgrade and the fact that 360's HDMI is 1.2.

anyways i got the answer,PS3 and 360 versions of Avatar are same.

I'm pretty sure both aren't the 3D people are thinking they are. Both the 360 and PS3 versions are shitty 3D.

3D didn't turn stop the movie from being a cliche-ridden piece of cinematic mediocrity.

'nuff said.

This is not correct.

The PS3 3D update is exactly the same tech as Avatar...just with less features.  You see, Avatar was optimized and designed to run in 3D, and included the 3D drivers and capapilities for all types of 3D diplays out there. It works on checkerboard displays, 120 hz displays, polarized displays... PS3 will most likely only work with 120 hz displays. Exactly same tech...just built in driver in to the console rather than individual games. This way companies don't have to put 3D driver profiles on the games...but Sony can just shoot an update to your console when a new game is released that can work in 3D.

But overall there is nothing more advanced about the 3D tech Wipeout is doing VS Avatar...3D effects should look pretty much identical on the same TV.

Actually Avatar looks pretty mint in 3D on the 360...I didn't see the PS3 version but I assume it looks the same. It looks 90% as good as the PC version which is considered one of the better looking 3D games.

no its not.

2D or half 3D signal into 3D,they were never for true 3D.Avatar on PS3 and 360 were the same but they were not optimised to be true 3D as the PC version. They were build for TV's that could convert.360 contains HDMI 1.2 and PS3 has HDMI 1.3a.

The current PS3 update has made PS3 to process true 3D like the PC's.but until the the Avatar devs work for a patch,Avatar PS3 will be the same as 360.

disolitude,360 wouldn't compete with PS3 having 3D update cause 360 has an older HDMI

no idea.

Even if it is,can 360 play 3d?i have no idea about that too.

MS has not said annything about it

The Sega Master system could play 3d, so the 360 certainly can. As can any console, computer or phone, as long as you don't mind halving your framerate. It is nothing special.

Edit - fixed typo

Yes the game got poor reviews (apart from one which i forget who but they said it was one of the best movie tie ins there has been this gen) but after playing the game i think they were quite unfair to the game. No it doesnt do anything revelutionary but what it does do it does very well, the length of the game is long and it is fun to play. I havnt seen it running in 3D but i have heard that alot of people who have played it in 3D have complained of headaches and a very busy screen.

agree completely.i was just saying cause 360 has older HDMI so it would it come in way of transmiting HD 3D.
