Isn't it 3d enabled on the 360 too?

Yes it is.

can it do 3d on 360 like PS3 or like those 2D to 3D converter TV's?

Yes, Avatar in 3D is the exact same on 360 and PS3.

no one said it's not the same 3d.. why do you assume everyone thinks the 360 game is inferior with 3d..

Why do assume that that's what he thought? And wouldn't it make sense, seeing as the PS3 is getting upgraded to handle more advanced stereoscopic 3D?

This is not correct.

The PS3 3D update is exactly the same tech as Avatar...just with less features.  You see, Avatar was optimized and designed to run in 3D, and included the 3D drivers and capapilities for all types of 3D diplays out there. It works on checkerboard displays, 120 hz displays, polarized displays... PS3 will most likely only work with 120 hz displays. Exactly same tech...just built in driver in to the console rather than individual games. This way companies don't have to put 3D driver profiles on the games...but Sony can just shoot an update to your console when a new game is released that can work in 3D.

But overall there is nothing more advanced about the 3D tech Wipeout is doing VS Avatar...3D effects should look pretty much identical on the same TV.

no its not.

2D or half 3D signal into 3D,they were never for true 3D.Avatar on PS3 and 360 were the same but they were not optimised to be true 3D as the PC version. They were build for TV's that could convert.360 contains HDMI 1.2 and PS3 has HDMI 1.3a.

The current PS3 update has made PS3 to process true 3D like the PC's.but until the the Avatar devs work for a patch,Avatar PS3 will be the same as 360.

disolitude,360 wouldn't compete with PS3 having 3D update cause 360 has an older HDMI
