Forums - Nintendo - Is the Wii dead?

i'll rephrase that
The Wii didn't want you to troll it so it killed itself.
so it did the Harakiwii

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

Very misleading title. You should be ashamed of yourself!

Change "the" to "my" in the title.

If the official lens cleaner doesn't work then install the Homebrew Channel and use an external hard drive instead. It's worth installing the Homebrew Channel just so you can play the shareware version of Quake with the remote and nunchuck.

Sorry about the title, I always refer to my brother's wii as "the wii" as I don't consider it mine, didn't to cause a stir.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

My guess would be a lens cleaner but give Nintendo tech service a call first. They'll probably just tell ya that but they sell lens cleaners at retailers.

No-one has responded based purely on the thread title without even reading the first post? I guess its up to me then

The Wii is not dead! It's up YoY and has heaps of awesome games coming for it in 2010!!!1one

Anyway, I have this problem every now and again, if I take the disc out and reinsert it it works fine

buy a wii lens cleaner Kit. i think the wii is dirty inside its head. oh and for the record, i actually thought this was a troll thread for a second because of the title lol

Wii's failure rate is higher than Xbox 360 confirmed??

Edit: Scottie beat me to being the first guy to respond based completely on the thread title

Try blowing on the cartridge before you put it in, then shift it from left to right. Last resort jam something in there between the game and the top of the system to keep it from popping back up.

No, actually, Xbox 360 dies with RROD. It's just a problem with the lens.
