I have been discussing these ideas with lestatdark and have come up with a conclusion:

Grass: Komorub -  Komoliage  -  Komorest

(The Komodo Dragon Pokemon with berries and plants on its body)

Fire: Flammy -  Flamantle -  Flamolcano

(The Flamingo Pokemon with an orange body surrounded by flames)

Water: Splaphin -  Aqualphin - Tidalphius

(The Dolphin Pokemon with an ultramarine body, cream underbelly and long fins)

You may disagree with these ideas so please feel free to incorporate your opinions into your ideas.

I would absolutely vomit in disgust and shame if Fire types were represented by a Flamingo -_-, I want the fire type to be reptilian, that last evolution is a Fire/Dragon type

While I agreed with his choices, I also think that the names weren't as good (RainbowYoshi did too).

But, taking out Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup were also terrible names for pokemon.

By default,.... The 1st Fire/Dragon hybrid we have will be new fav Pokemon ( im a Fire/Dragon trainer)

Also, all Water type starters have been amphibious up to this point. I really don't see how a Dolphin would work with that.
