Hey all,

We're currently hard at work with the new revision of the VGChartz site and I wanted to ask general opinion on a few things.

Firstly some background - the plan when we re-launch is to split VGChartz up into four seperate sites, all will be inter-linked and you can jump from one to the other via the main header bar but each will have its own homepage and menu system, specific to its function.

VGChartz itself will become a sales-only site. Everything on there will be related to the VG industry and sales figures.

So onto the specific question - how would you like to see the top sellers lists best handled?

Currently on the existing site, we have the 5 bestseller lists (worldwide, americas, japan, others, blast from the past) on flag tabs so you can scrooll through each, but how many of you actually bother to check the other countries? Would we be better just listing the regions out below each other or maybe having a random region on top or possibly the most recently updated?

The big drive with the new development is to make the site as accessible and user friendly as possible so please let me know which system you think would get you checking the various charts out more regularly...

I know this is a sales site, but when you say "sales-only site", does that mean anything not related to game sales won't be included on this site? Don't get me wrong. I love looking at the sales, but general video game articles and discussion add a lot more to the site as well as depth to the sales.

Also, an app or mobile friendly version of the site would be great if you have the time to work on it.

Can we downgrade to 1.0? ¬_¬

I'll gladly campaign for it.

OT: I like it the way it is now, but would prefer the simple 1.0

VGChartz♥♥♥♥♥FOREVER

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

I like it the way it is now, about blast from the past..... it would be more interesting if it wasn't Japan 90% of the time.

PD: I only see the most recent ones because the old one I had already seen

I completely forgot about the Blast from the Past section. >_>

I check each specific region's sales weekly, though, and I like the way it is now with flags for each.

My only issue with the current form is that the EU flag for some reason links to the Others hardware page, while JP and NA link to the overall weekly page for each region. For the longest time I simply assumed you were posting Others hardware before software, because the software wasn't showing up. xD

How about some pc retail tracking. The rest I don't care about aslong as I can easily access the forums and the relevant data for all the regions and the games database.

Wow, this is more conclusive than I thought it would be! Just goes to show - everyone who moaned when we moved over to 2.0 and now people seem pretty happy with it all

True. Just remember that no one can predict nothing this generation. Anyway VGChartz 3.0 is wayyy overated! I expect HipHopGamer to overtake in quality, site hits and sales tracking. Beating out even the NPD/GFK/MediaCreate-Famitsu in accurate numbers. :P

Hope for the best! Even if the whole layout is like Windows 3.0 I'm sure I will still be lurking and/or posting here. :D
