Yeah... guess I'll hold off on buying a Slim till next month so that I don't have to trade my 60gb for it. Thanks everyone.
@GerOhMyGosh
Get the slim now before you regret it. You can always get a slim PS2 if you want to play PS2 games (why keep that monster truck PS3 "on the side" when you'd better have a slim PS2 there). If you're not in a hurry to play PS2 games, then don't buy a PS2 and maybe wait for games to be available on PS Store? your choice. PS2 hasn't been discontinued and it's unlikely it will for another whole year at least.
| GerOhMyGosh said: @SpartenOmega117 I think that's what my question was more about, should I trade my PS3 60Gb to help pay for a new Slim or just buy a new slim and keep the 60GB on the side. @Richardhutnik In all honesty I don't use the features, but I like the idea of having it if I ever wanted to use it. It's really the fact that it's getting old and might only have a few months left. |
If you don't have need for backwards compatibility, then consider it. You are paying a premium for less features, though, than you have now.
well if you have no interest in playng PS2 games, then trade it in
off topic: I have a 60gb PS3 and I am thinking of upgrading it's hard drive, is the BC data installed in the hard drive or the overall system functions? will upgrading the hard drive have any affect on the PS2 BC data?
I have a 40 gig fat, I cant here it, It is very quiet, I here people say there fat is loud, but mine is so quiet, but that old saying goes , If it ant broke , don't fix it, If it was me , I would most likley keep it, I have had my 40 gig fat since late 2006, and I have had no problems with it, it gets used so much its crazy, me and my son game a lot, its out main DVD player, then Bluray, I also use netflix on it, I would say all in all my PS3 gets used an average of 6 hours daily, between me and my son, weekends much more, and its going strong, Keep it, till it dies, sale it broke, its still worth a lot if its back wards comp, then buy a slim.
