I'm using a Slim anyways so doesn't matter too much. My other PS3 has been in a box since March something or other and hadn't been updated since mid-February probably, maybe January and don't plan to update it either. It's going to get sold come Christmas time. ^^

Actually it may be possible to get otheros on a slim if Geohot is speaking the truth

Yeah, I actually don't care in any way at all about other OS, I have this funny thing called a laptop so there's no point what-so-ever in otherOS for me.

Home is great btw for something thats free, and i do think now that sony could of charged for it if they wanted to as it is really good but im happy they didn't :D .

really though, you can try linux on whatever you want (Including the comp your on now unless your on the ps3)... (at risk of destroying your data if you don't know what your doing)
