I went to best buy yeterday and i saw that the PS3s were out of stock. I saw the weekly sales today on here and PS3 is under xbox 360 by 5,000. So is the PS3 still out of stock in your area? 

Yes it is. They said the problem is not solved yet.

I wasnt in a electronic store lately. But if we look at several weeks back on the sales chart, it really looks like PS3 may be sold out or hard to find at different places. By sale it looks like they have big inventory problem in "others".

yea there are still shortages and the volcano that is owning western europe is the reason why the PS3 sales in Others is declining.

I really hope central Africa doesn't get tormented by earthquakes

well (people are probably getting tired of me saying that), here in Mainz/Germany there are hardly any available .. since january the big retailers here (Media Markt, Saturn, Conrad) didn't have a single unit in stock ,when I visited them (which I usually do once all 2-3 weeks/shop)
..maybe they decided to stop selling the thing :P

Only the Best Buy's (2 of them) that I have been too over the past week were out of Stock. Was a good amount at Walmart and a few at the 2 Gamestops I went too. Id say the problem is definitely not solved, but it is better off than it was a few months back.

According to Sony stock is going to be really tight over the next couple months

All anecdotal but there were none in my local Walmart, Gamestop or Target today.

Gamestop.com also shows no PS3's within 100 miles of my home.

Uk and Ireland are fully stocked up with PS3.
Lord alone knows why supply is so bad elsewhere.
