Sooooo where is leo...?

I think this fits in with my prediction of his prediction being wrong "very soon" i.e. 2 weeks.

(that prediction being the PS3 would stay above the 360 for along time to come in the US)

leo actually made that bet?!?   o.O

No he didnt make the bet? and I didnt offer as bet... it would have been too easy.

I just said he would be wrong very soon... and he said he wouldn't... he was wrong twice it seems.

Are you sure he didn't say "except for launch weeks of (list of some games)"?

So then Japan doesn't count because Western games are the biggest part in "hardcore gaming"?

I think Japan should count because Japan games are the biggest part in "gaming" period.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

This time last year:

DS 274,039
Wii 103,977
360 55,626
PS2 49,177
PS3 41,440
PSP 35,020

Wii up 2K YoY, 360 up 15K, PS3 up 24K.

Ok, this is bad for Wii to be flat all of a sudden (with an easy comparison), but I can actually understand if the volcano disrupted things here since Wii was not exactly in fantastic supply already (warehouses would be unlikely to compensate for disrupted supplies), and the closing of Euro air space could have disrupted shipments even for the US.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

www.xnagg.com/zombieasteroids/publish.htm

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

These numbers are the numbers in line with NPD figures so have to say fair play to Vgc. Rather then continue going the 100k+ route with the PS3 of the previous few weeks they have gone back and put them roughly at the same as NPD. Which now most likely shows the true level of current demand for all three consoles. Which is nowhere near as high as some try to make out.

Here is last years sales
Wii - 103k
360 - 55k
Ps3 - 41k

edit had the wrong year.....
