Forums - PC - Crysis control issues

I'm currently playing Crysis, got it today, and I love the game.  However; there are some freaky control/texture bugs that occur sometimes that are ruining the experience!! When I creep close to objects, my aim suddenly points straight towards the sky, kinda bothersome in the middle of an intense firefight! And sometimes my suit changes powers on its own and my weapon sporadically fires and empties an entire clip, again; bothersome, especially if I'm trying to be stealthy...

Has anyone else experienced this? My keyboard and mouse are fine, nothing wrong with them, and my software is up to date, so it must be the game itself, it'd be a shame if such a great game is ruined for me because of silly glitches and bugs!!

Your Crysis game is haunted!!

When your aim suddenly points at the sky does the screen keep spinning until you move your mouse again?

No, it just shoots up, and sometimes it shoots up again right after I've stabilized it!

There must be a bug with the game. I've never encountered what you're describing before.

Either that, or see my origianl post. :)

Few things, the game won't let you stick your gun barrel into objects so he will raise the gun up when you creep close to objects.  Also the reason your suit is changing powers on you is because you are running out of suit power.  For example if you are in stealth it will automatically switch back to armor once power gets low so that the suit can recharge faster.  You should be using bursts of stealth to move and seek cover and using armor while hidden to recharge power.

As for the gun firing and emptying an entire clip... it could be a glitch but I never experienced it in any of my playthroughs of the game. You should watch the circumstances and see if you can notice anything that is consistant about the situations.

Something is consistant in the event my gun goes off; I'm also in dense brush or shrubbery when it happens.
The gun barrel makes sense when you put it that way, but the suit suddenly switches to Strength or Speed in the middle of a gunfight sometimes and also everytime the gun-bug occurs.

One thing to check is what hotkeys you have your suit set to.  IIRC toggle is 4  by default. It might be that you are trying to switch weapons or something and dropping out.  Outside of that I am not sure.  I would have to see it happen to know more.  But I think you should try to stay aware of what you are physically doing and see if you can figure it out.  If after that you still can't spot anything then it is probably a bug, but I have to say that this just doesn't sound like bug behavior.

In any case, it might be worth it to search the internet or the crysis forums for others who are having the problem and hopefully they already have a solution for you.

If it is a hotkey issue you can just move the hotkeys around to suit your play style.
