There is 100% going to be a subscription fee....thats confirmed too. Was a few months back & there's no reason for there not to be a fee.

@darthdevidem01, u could be a warrior job class, uses swords/axes and clubs
ninja uses magic scrolls and miniswords
paladin uses swords and some healing magic
dark knight uses swords,axes,grim reapor weapon
samurai uses big swords
if u wana tank then the ninja job class is the best option, if u wana do dmg but not take the brunt of the mob's attacks than the other dmg dd classes would work fine for u.

those job classes i mentioned are from ff11:online, but ff14:online should have something similar to those though.
oh, ok. i thought that square-enix hadnt made a firm decision on that.

I guess a Paladin may be a wise choice cus I'm best at ATTACKING & minor defending....its always safe to have ANOTHER healer.

lol I know I'm going into detail but we won't even know it & in a few months we'll be counting days till this games release!

@darthdevidem01, actually your healing ability is only for u really. it gives the main healer or the secondly healer a brief break on healing everyone. the red mage, blue mage, bard,corsiar are the other job classes who can do the buffs and healing besides the white mage job class.

I played a Refresh whore along time ago in FFXI. I definitely want NOTHING to do with that this time around. As far as a party? Whoever wants in sounds good to me. My RL WoW guildies and I will be playing FFXIV (after 4+ years of WoW we are done).

Oh but thats kind of good, that means you will only have to focus on healing 4 people instead of 5.

As a healer what other abilities would yo have besides the usual Raise, Cure, Esuna. Would you have Shell/Protect & so on?

Sounds like a plan to me.  The more people you know in the game the better afterall :)

@darthdevidem01, every healing,status effect , buffing spell in a ff game is yours to be learned. raise 3 is a godsend in ff11, so i imagine it will be the same in ff14.
