wii fit will be a huge hit for gaming industry...

just think of some fat or not women, some girls or adults (if not gamers) looking for exercise and entertainement in one.....

nintendo has to start producing more wiis, so that ps3 (main opponent) won't start to selling.....

 I thought wii fit had a weight level on it so fat people cant use it

i don't know about it, but it's more probably to support over men's average wieght.....so fat women (not speaking about world's fattest) will be able to use...

but i'm not sure...all i think is that it will be a hit...!!

it's 300lbs so it's fine for Fat. Not just obese

I think Wii Fit will propel the Wii hardware to around 100K (90K-110K) and that Wii fit itself will sell around 100-150K in first day sales, with a total sellout of its first shipment within 3 days



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

The hardware sales are up to 47k thisweek, so it looks like the upcomming release could already be having an effect.

 Looking at historical data, the PS2 had a similar trend back in 2001, in fact it was beaten by the GC in Japan at that time (with the release of SSBM GC went over 100K with PS2 at around 40K), then the next week PS2 sales jumped with MGS, I could see similar happen with the Wii

Hard to say, Japan is unpredictable lately but i see a 50%-to a 100% increase.
