I never thought of that, the Wii not being boxed with Wii sports their, that reveals quite alot. If I was them I would put it in after christmas with the wii, while advertising wii fit heavily, that would help sales.

My guess is that Wii will sell a bit more than it does now, maybe like 40-50k and Wii Fit will keep it stable at that level.

Thanks etuoyo, I might pick the game up. Ive watched quite a few videos on youtube of the game and am impressed.

 You are wrong, SMG and Wii fit have different demographics

 

Same with Preorders, Wii fit isn't a game with the demographic that preorders in large numbers

People are making the error in thinking that this game will track like SMG when the two games have totally different audiences, SMG is a much more hardcore game, especially with all the gravity effects, upside down gameplay etc. definetly not a nongamer game.

 

Wii play sales are a much better indicator of how Wii Fit  will perform

Oh no I dont expect it to track like SMG, it clearly comes under the Wii play/sport casual games. I said that it should appeal to all the casuals...

Whatever they ship they sell first week. Its the holidays.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

After deep and careful examination of the japanese market I have come to the conclusion that they are utterly unpredictable.

Based on this analysis I would say "50 -80K", but I honestly think "I haven't got a clue"

Thank you. You can be both Fat & Fit (ever seen a Sumo wrestler?). And Thinness does not always necessarily correlate with Fitness. But nobody will know it since no one gives thin people as hard a time about health as they do fatter people.

Oh & I'm thin just for the record.

That said, take fkusumot's comment as the measuring stick.

Hardware I'm seeing at LEAST upwards of 500,000 units. Between 500,000 & 1,000,000.

Wii Fit will move Wiis as well as sell to those who already have one now.

And it will revitalize Japan for the Wii after the fall's off-season.
