Forums - Nintendo - Thinking of selling my Wii, I need to be taked out of it

not sure if i'd lose money or not but I reckon I should perhaps just stick with it and even though there's not a lot of 360 games that excites me at the moment either I may just pick up a few DS games and some old styple pc point and click. Maybe even Ghost Squad with Lnks crossbow training and have an on rails christmas.

Maybe even treat myself to a new HD tv and enjoy playing the likes of SMG in full LCD Glory.

Stop being so damn whiny.  The games are coming, it'd be a lot different if there were no games coming at all.  You are acting like a little kid who can't be patient.  Keep playing the games you have, the new games will arrive by the time you're done all of the current ones.  Give us a list of all of your current games and people will suggest which games you're missing from the list.  Also did you own a Gamecube?  If you didn't... then why the heck are you posting this here?  There are a bunch of awesome cube games out there that you now have access to.  Go buy some.  Be patient for a month and then you'll be playing the newest games again.

I don't mean to come off as pushy, but come on you're asking for someone to basically put you in your place.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

I really doubt that there wold be enough profit in it in Europe. If there is then demand is high enuogh to make getting another one in February almost impossible. I talked one of my friend out of this in the American climate. He would make $200 but is that really worth it considering he will have to try and get another one in 2 months. It took him 6 months to get it the first time. I reminded him of that.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

*naznatips is exempt

I never got all this selling and rebuying bit.

Maybe it's my habit for preplanning every little thing that helps me see long term with every purchase I buy. I hardly ever have regrets when I buy something.

But if you're that set on it, sell it to someone in Europe who's wanting one right now. Shortages are a killer.

And when you buy it again, BOOM, another sale for Nintendo. It's all good.

I never sell my consoles.

But if I did, it wouldn't be to rebuy it a couple weeks later..

Kindred spirits, me & you. No point going through the process of buying all that stuff just to sell it. But if that's how some people get their kicks live and let live I say.

By the way, who is that fine gyal in your avatar there bway?

Angell Conwell

That girl can work some braids, but when I saw this picture...

OK OK. I gotta do some research on this one here.

Never change that avatar BTW.

so if anyone can think of any games in europe I should play then please let me know - and FYI I know i'm wanting to be talked out of this, hence the name of the thread it's just every year my family know to get me games and this year people are asking me what I want and there's genuinly nothing to tell them at the same time 3 people I know are desperate for Wii's for their Wifes or kids and i'm tempted thats all.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

Wow, you really play a lot of games. If you didn't get SSX3 for the GC though, pick that up. It will keep you busy for a long time if you're going for the platinum medal on every event. I've owned it for 4 years and every year I pick it up and play it, and it is still just an awesome game.

Also, if you got a PC and 360 you should probably be able to find some other things to keep you busy for a while anyway. I wouldn't sell it. I thought of doing it with my Wii when I found out they were selling for $500 (I bought it at launch), but the shortages have gone on for a very long time, and apparently there isn't going to be a big drop in demand any time soon.

totally forgot about SSX Blur - that was a great game but I didn't like the slalom and I always preferred SSX trickys courses but all SSX were still great games.

Haven't picked up Mass Effect for the 360 so that may just be the epic this christmas hols I waste the time away on but it's just when I get a Wii game then the wife joins in rather than complaining when I play a 360 game - thats why I was looking forward to zak and Wiki, MOH Heoroes 2.

1. Resident Evil : Umbrella Chronicles
2. Godfather
3. SSX Blur
4. Ninja Bread Man
5. Anubis II

PS: the last two are garbage; it was totally /sarcasm

Godfather could be worth a look, has anyone played any of the Trauma Centre games?

I know reviews state they're good but are they?

of course Guitar Hero 3, i've never actually played any of the Guitar Hero Games so could be interesting also

It sounds like you should take a stroll down VC lane.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
