Anyone know what the difference would be with something in motion as opposed to a still photo?
I remember this stuff when i was a kid, and its obviously around, so if this is in fact it why has it taken this long to come to fruition?
Im guessing its something different since its motion on screen, but if they can pull off anything similar to those vids it will be awesome and id probably buy my first handheld.
Reminds me of the Killzone 2 loading screens.

If you remember that from your kid time, you may recall that there was some of this pics with motion... Infact those were the most common ones. Creating a 3D effect its harder to do due to the perspective change.
I think it's the same physical principle using different tech somehow..

Yeah but it was only like 4-5 stills. Its totally different, at least id think, when youre talking an entirety of a game with unknown changes not predetermined screens.
If theres one thing ive learned its not to question nintendo though, so im hopeful its similar to the stills in those vids.
i think it works better than this with Sharps parralax barriers

Nintendo could u please just take my money and give me back my 3DS?!
Well from what I understood ( but i may be horribly wrong there), this is exactly what it'll look like. Not a glasses type of 3D where you have depth at every level, but a "2D poping out feel" on a 3D background.
(much like 2D menus in 3D Vision games, where they are recognized and thus not enhenced so you have a 2D sheet on top of a deep screen... which is supposed to be enoying, but I find pretty neat...)

Hephaestos,
The tiger pic is more than a 2D popping out feel.
The tiger looks very natural and 3D...
That's not quite how the 3DS will work, but it's the technology that the 3DS's screen is based on. Remember, this stuff only looks 3D if you're moving it back and forth. The 3DS will look 3D from any position, sitting still.
