Probably the most ambitious Fable yet.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Can't wait for this one!

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Looks more mature than the other one's.

I'm thinking this is going to be the first 10/10 Fable game, or at least I'm hoping.

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

It's definitely gonna be the best Fable to date IMO.

some things from the mag

"Lionhead has worked hard on making the combat far more fluid this time around, so when design director Josh Atkins surrounded himself with bandits, he was able to dispatch them all in a series of silky smooth attacks. Instantly switching between a huge hammer and a rifle, Atkins was launching foes into the air with a hefty swing of the melee weapon and then juggling them with gunfire in a sequence of attacks that was more reminiscent of Bayonetta and DE v i l [Evil] May Cry's gloriously over-the-top brand of action than traditional RPG hacking and slashing. To further add to the satisfaction, you'll be able to unlock a series of elaborate, and at times surprisingly violent, finishing moves that play out in slow motion.

If you go questing together and become locked in combat, Atkins reckons having two players in the mix will change the dynamic entirely. Like in single-player, you'll earn followers by killing enemies, but in a neat twist the game will reward you with extra followers if you perform combined attacks. They aren't canned maneuvers, but if you tee up a Hobbe with your hammer and then your friend shoots it out of the sky, the game will rightly recognise that as worthy of an extra pat on the back."

Co-Op Ruling
"You and your friend can rule Albion as king and queen. What's more, the team seems committed to ensuring the experience is in no way compromised. You'll be able to enjoy, ahem, intimate moments with your co-op friend and eventually produce offspring together. But what about absentee parents? Well, just as AI characters have relationships with the host, they'll also have relationships with the visiting player as well. If you don't spend enough time playing with the sprogs, your relationship will suffer. By contrast, if you're popping into a mate's game and he's already married, for example, you can flirt with his wife in an attempt to steal her away. Don't expect to be invited back too often, though.

While the big decisions will still be left to the host, the team plans to allow visiting players to make judgements as well, and any gold, items or followers that are accumulated in someone else's game can be brought back into your own. Players can even become business partners and pool their money to, for example, pay for property that is too expensive for either to afford on their own."

In Fable II your spouse could cheat on you. You didn't know it was happening, of course, because it always happened when you weren't around. The only clue you'd get is if you were being faithful and noticed your stats said you'd picked up a new STD from somewhere. Nevertheless it was part of the programmed simulation for villagers if your spouse felt neglected. For Fable III we'll be able to watch those things happening on the new living map. All the simulation will play out in front of us. But we knew this already. After all, it was one of the first things Peter revealed about the map system.

It got me thinking about the degrees of paranoia players would feel, wondering how many people would spend more time checking on their spouses than killing enemies. It seems that this is something that Lionhead is counting on in the game. New information has revealed that your paranoia may well pay off. Noticed some shady looking people hanging around a building? You'd best leg it over there because there's a G o o d [Good] chance they're plotting against you, and you might be able to catch them in the act. Noticed your wife visiting the same house regularly? Maybe you can catch her and confront her if you get there soon. Of course, to do that you'll have to stop watching the map and may miss something worse going on. According to the OXM UK article about Fable III, the Lionhead team has yet to decide when the player gets access to the full level of magnification on the map. I say make us pay spies in order to unlock it, just for added realism.
