Forums - Nintendo - Pokemon XD and Pokemon Colosseum two gems that seemingly flopped?

I'm a big Pokemon fan but I didn't like 'Love' Colosseum.

I didn't like the concept of Shadow Pokemon and purifing them, etc. Like my favourite Pokemon Tyranitar took a long time to convert and that pissed me off.

Gems?

LOL, I found those two games completely horrible...

I looooooved all 3 console Pokemons, me and my brothers played the hell outta of them. The only annoying issues was the majority terrible choices of Pokemon you had to sit through.

Ehhhh, which ones? Besides crappy Pokemon channels and boxes, there've been 5 console Pokemon games.

i own XD. Its a decent Game, but Not a GEM.

Snap! was frickin AWESOME!!! I used to play it everyday after school. I still remember the days taking shots of Mew in Space.

I agree these games were underrated. The more serious storyline of the two GameCube Pokemon games was a nice change.

All pokemon console games to this date have been average at best. The amount of pokemon you could catch was extremely limited, having to fight dozens upon dozens of trainers got boring quick due to the craling pace of battle. Colleseum and XD both suffered from poor battle animations and effects , made even more repetetive by the fixed camera. The slow pace of combat and the fact that you never see pokemon make any contact defeated any sesnce of intesity in the battles. Combatwise they tried to copy and past the gameplay from the portables on to a console and it just feels dated. No one needs to explain why battle revolution failed that game is pathetic.

If we had to be honest its obvious that no effort went into these games, let bioware or square Enix tackle the series and then we will see true pokemon console game.

Wow crazy responses im getting.. I found them much better than the other pokemon games..

then again I guess that's just me

Some parts of the games were very good. But I hated how you couldn't just go out and find wild Pokemon anywhere. And then in XD they let you catch wild Pokemon, but only after setting up traps or whatever to lure them there. I liked the way the games looked though and it was something different than battling through gyms and becoming champion so the two games were fun. The first one was a lot better in my opinion.

Nintendo still doomed?
