I'd go with PS3, and I will buy one when the great franchises start coming out.

A would have to say the XBOX 360, just because of the JRPGs available on the console here and now.

Mot likely PS3, cause the failurerate of the 360 is unacceptable. After 20 years of Nintendo i'm not used to consoles breaking on me, and i'm not planning on getting used to it

They hate sony since sony is the only real threat to nintendo

Nintendo doesn't have a threat. They already make enough profit on the Wii while MS and Sony make none on the 360 and PS3.

Nintendo always makes profit frist on their consoles. THe GC made them a profit day one, same with the 64 and SNES. Only console that hurt them was the Virtual Boy. lol what a failure.

I dont really know who reported that but honestly I dont see why he is trolling. His statement is rather truthful. Sony might be the only company that has a chance of surpassing the Wii.  With the PS3selling faster then the 360 first year Sony has a chance to win.

The PS3 would have to sell faster than the Wii for it to surpass the latter. 360 =/= Wii.

I would rather have another Wii so I can have 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs.

You guys mock leo-j but he holds some truth. My roommate for example was a die-hard Nintendo fan in the early 90's. The PS1 came out and he pretty much spat on any Sony fan. When the GC came around he realized that it sucked compared to the PS2 and was downright embarrassed by the sales records. He played a lot of Halo on his friends machine and rooted the XBox on since it was battling "the evil empire" of Sony. The 360 came out and he bought one on launch day thinking that the Wii didn't have a chance in hell so the 360 was the way to go.

By the time the Wii came out he bought one of those on launch day and went back to his old Nintendo fanboy self. He doesn't mind the 360 though, Nintendo and Microsoft have never really been rivals. Microsoft just wanted to stop Sony from dominating the field so it entered the console brawl, I think Microsoft could care less if Nintendo outsells them, to Microsoft this would be a victory since the status quo was returned. Read statements made by Microsoft, they heavily promote the idea of Wii60 instead of a PS3.

Leo J has truth to his words (this time). There are plenty of Nintendo fans who would might buy a 360 this generation since the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

a better PC

Edit: Scratch that, I just realized it's almost impossible to get a new PC running on XP now, so let's make it a PS2 (or a 60/80GB PS3)

Huh?

He doesn't knows how to build a PC I'm sure.

From Sept. 2006, before wii or ps3 ever launched.

n a canny piece of anti-Sony propaganda he said, “Dual platform ownership of Xbox 360 and Wii could be as high as 40% depending on what territory we are talking about. The influence of the Wii-60 movement seems to be growing enormously.”

It’s not the first time Microsoft's U.S. Xbox 360 chief has praised his rival, while, of course, damning Sony with no praise at all. Moore added, “I have been on the record many times talking about my admiration for Nintendo and the innovation that Wii brings. I am not even sure Nintendo fully understands what it has on its hands”

But the mischievous Liverpudlian could not resist expressing some doubts about Nintendo’s machine. "The controller is innovative but it remains to be seen how innovative your shoulder will feel after an hour's play."

He added, “I am personally looking forward to playing with Wii but it’s worth remembering that neither Nintendo nor Sony have released their consoles as yet, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

“The question for me is whether owning a Wii on its own is going to be a satisfying enough experience. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are more similar than they are different in that respect.”

PS2 hands down. unless you include handheld consoles in which it would be DS then PS2.

If i had to choose between 360 and PS3 i would say PS3, because i am not bothered about online enough to pay for it, and i don't care for systems that break down so easily and often (a reason why i never got a PS2)
