You guys mock leo-j but he holds some truth. My roommate for example was a die-hard Nintendo fan in the early 90's. The PS1 came out and he pretty much spat on any Sony fan. When the GC came around he realized that it sucked compared to the PS2 and was downright embarrassed by the sales records. He played a lot of Halo on his friends machine and rooted the XBox on since it was battling "the evil empire" of Sony. The 360 came out and he bought one on launch day thinking that the Wii didn't have a chance in hell so the 360 was the way to go.
By the time the Wii came out he bought one of those on launch day and went back to his old Nintendo fanboy self. He doesn't mind the 360 though, Nintendo and Microsoft have never really been rivals. Microsoft just wanted to stop Sony from dominating the field so it entered the console brawl, I think Microsoft could care less if Nintendo outsells them, to Microsoft this would be a victory since the status quo was returned. Read statements made by Microsoft, they heavily promote the idea of Wii60 instead of a PS3.
Leo J has truth to his words (this time). There are plenty of Nintendo fans who would might buy a 360 this generation since the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
