Education...

Cameron won that one. The teacher that asked tghe question was nodding like crazy when he was speaking.

Brown said bugger all and Clegg was confused and all over the place with some weird numbers

Not so sure on that. What Cameron said about giving head teachers more power and cutting red-tape was all fine but I'm not so sure about this independent school set up (nor their policy on parents taking over a school if they feel it is failing). Clegg is right that the link between poor performance (and behaviour) in school is linked to poverty and is the only one trying to address that.

I and many of my class mates came from real poverty... and I mean real poverty not the modern definition of poverty.

I achieved.

Its about discipline and parental responsibility much more than it is about poverty.

I agree that parently responsibility ultimately plays the biggest role in a childs chances in life but poverty is a key factor in how many family dynamics run and is something a government can help to change. There are of course many exceptions on either side.

Looks like Alex Salmond will be on question time later, that should be a good laugh after he wasn't allowed on the debate tonight.

anyone have youtube links for the debate that just happened?

I cant stand that man.....  bigot!

We are in agreement

Illegal immigrants should be dumped on France's doorstep. Asylum seekers can have help but I have to wonder why they didn't stop in France. As for new EU members, let's add a year to whatever limit France decides on.

The debate on legal immigration is pointless because of the EU.

I liked Salmond until the SNP released Megrahi. It's been a long 3 months.

YOUGOV poll

Cameron wins... with 41%
Clegg 32%
Brown 25%

I'd agree.... and that is VERY significant.

bit of confusion.. could be Comres ITV

Ooooh I like those numbers.

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

I missed the beginning as I went to a late lecture (It was a special guest lecturer, the man who voiced Johnny Bravo, I had to attend that, it was great). So I had to listen to the latter half in the car on the way home. Here's what I got.

Nick Clegg - Doesn't have a clue about the economy. I liked the Lib Dem plans when I've read about them, but from tonight, Clegg didn't seem so sure footed at all.

Cameron - I don't think a minute went by where I didn't think he was a liar, a fraud, or accused him of playing the blame game. And I was sick of him saying the line "Cut public spending", as though it's a magic line that solves everything... It doesn't. Also, if he says "change" again, I'll scream.

Brown - Clearly understood the economy far better than both, however there is good reason for that, it is/was his job. I can't say he won my vote though.

Honestly, all three performed poorly.

Comres has Cameron ahead but only by 2%

Think that is YouGov, ITV gives 35% to Cameron, 33% to Clegg and 26% to Brown.

Channel 4 poll is a little different!

Cameron 13%

Clegg 42%

Brown 44%
