Forums - Gaming - There is no reason for Splinter Cell Conviction to stay exclusive

if you want to keep bringin MGS4 into the conversation, lets do it.

MGS4 is on most PS3 owners top 3 list of best game this gen.

Is Conviction on most X360 owners top 3 list ? I don't think so...

If you're going to make something exclusive, make a big hit and make the other side wish they had the game.,.

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I don't know what you are on about and why you are posting here if that is your opinion.

This whole thread is about how the game should NOT be exclusive. It has universal appeal and can sell well on any console.

What meta it got?

Unless the media agrees its AAA, its not worth talking about or something?

You said it first.

It is made on the "lead" engine according wiki, so maybe there might be difficulty, because I haven't heard of that engine before, so I don't know about whether it is a PS3 one

I am sure it will come to PS3 at some point, but too late to actually be of any impact

It's a heavily modified version of an older Unreal Engine (UE 2 or 2.5, can't remember).

I think Ubisoft will be shooting themselves in the foot if they don't port this over to PS3.

yea cause i could care oneway or the other. eventhouhg it won't happen. i would prefer gears1-3 on ps3 than conviction.

Judging by reports of developers posting CVs listing working on this for PS3 maybe it won't be staying exclusive beyond around 6 months.

Anyway, I agree, and get the feeling this is either a late exclusive - which makes no sense as Ubi is simply losing sales - or a more likely timed exclusive.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

well Unlike the GTA IV downloadable content I am intrested in this..

With MGS4 selling so well and this game being similar.. it seems like a good idea..

Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous

Getting Plat trophies for: Heavy Rain, Infamous, RE5,  Burnout and GOW collection once I get it.

I doubt anyone will compare Splinter cell to MGS after they play this game and play MGS4.  They are nothing alike.

SC:Conviction is a lot more dynamic, gritty and action oriented than MGS4. This is the reason why the single player game clocks in at 6 hours..even most cutscenes are told while you play the game, by projecting them on the walls. Also, shooting mechanics are as good as any other TPS I've ever played.
