This sucks.
Imagine paying full price for each of the three FFXIII disks separately.
also pointless if you miss an episode.

SW's story isn't complex, the first Matrix's is, but the second and third are shit. |
Complex doesn't mean good, and how many games out there have complex and good stories? Most games don't combine the two, and I think you can rest easy, because most stories in games wouldn't suffer from being made episodic (if done right of course), and the ones that would most likely won't be.
Again, I doubt this model would remove the one we know, just supplement it.
Just more ways of nickel-and-diming the consumer to death for content that could and should be released in one finished version. Seriously: S-E has been getting more and more shameless about this over the years.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

Obviously, it certainly can't be DVD
They could sell a whole game for $60.
Or... they could sell it in 4 parts at $30 a pop.
Do the math.
This is all about nickle and diming the customers, also known as, DLC.
I don't see why this is getting bashed so hard, until we see how they are going to do it, it's possible that it will be the greatest thing ever! I see why this might seem like a bad idea to some, but until we know what games and what 'episodes' really means, we have nothing to go by. It's like Nintendo saying that they want their next machine to be different and unique, what's wrong with it?
EDIT: I know SE want to make more money and that this is a part of that effort (just like releasing games is a part of that effort), but until we see what it entails, we have nothing but speculation to go on.

You're confusing me... Whats my age again?
Tease.
first they release a bunch of low quelity RPGś on 360 only, then they bring FF13 to the 360, then they make FF13 linear and whithout content, and rehash te same eviroments for hour to make the game cheaply long and now, NOW THEY ARE SPLITTING THE GAMES!!
OH E-E have gone way too low

-42 last time I checked, though I may have to reread the stars to find out again. My memory isn't what it used to be...
