Any of you that have used the DNS trick to bypass needing to update to 3.21 may have noticed that you recieve error code "8002A212" when you try to connect to PSN. Supposedly this is a temporary ban code and may only be limited to those who do not update. If you try to sign onto PSN through the website and/or PSP you will find that your accounts are perfectly fine, it is just the DNS Trick/Proxy Tricks that are banned at the moment.

Anyone have this issue and then update to 3.21 to see if it fixes the problem?

I am now tempted to update since I wanted to watch Netflix when I got home, but I guess I now need to request my Wii disc.

Well, you know, they deserve it. Sony is giving hackers a really hard time lately.

Anyways, once this is all said and done and one day my PS3 possibly has CFW, it will be worth gold.

Of course I will only wait so long.

I really can't see how people think they can do these tricks long term. It's all over the internet and I'm sure Sony reads blogs etc... so it doesn't surprise me that they act on it.

Good on Sony!!! If Geohot didn't publicly hack the ps3 - maybe the OS would still be there. We can't make Geohot the hero; because for the greater audience he has brought this trouble to the ps3 and it's the good owners that are affected.

Well you could do I what I plan to do since I had to update. I will wait for the Slim to have CFW and have a legit PS3 and CFW PS3 just to have all the cool features.

well since Geohot has jailbroken the iPad and iPhone OS 4.0.. he should have plenty of time to go back to CFW for the PS3..

I would buy a Slim and keep it as my legit long before I would risk being able to load CFW on a working 60GB B/C model.

Anyways, to those thinking that hackers are so bad, these great people make cool things just like this all the time!

Hackers and modders have brought some wonderful things to the world of gaming and thanks to then I now have LBP type possibilities with NSMBWii!!!

You do know that when the CFW gets released Sonys just going to release a FW update to counter that one. Then you will have to wait a few more weeks for another Custom Firmware and Sony will release another FW update again which will leave you waiting and waiting and waiting everytime they do it. You may aswel give up and just enjoy your online.
