1. $199 console is alot easier on the eyes & wallet than $299

2. America is land of the rising 'gun' and loves shooters, especially online shooters. And nobody delivers shooter games and online better than Xbox360.

You dont hear people nicknaming PS3 'Shooterstation', unlike 'Shooterbox'.

PS3 outsold the 360 this week too. Even in NA.

Gears 1,2, Halo 3, Mass Effect 1,2, Splinter Cell:Conviction, Bioshock, L4D, and multiplats. I know I left some out but do yourself a favor and check out the metacritic scores for both systems on shooters, figure out the average and see how that works out for you. You can say mine is opinion but the gamer review scores back me up.

Mind telling me wtf MGS4 is then?

That´s not the reason...if patriotism was the cause, the original Xbox would´ve beaten the PS2 in the U.S.

it's weird to see console selling over 200k around this time of year really O_o, sony it's up for a HUGE xmas, with god of war 3, FF13, GT5 on the same year.

and guys,  failure rate it's still high 360, it improved,true, but when u are talking abouit % u can't ignore numbers just to make the article look better.

when u put all numbers together u see numbers like over 50% failure rate.

Are you trying to say that the 360 has a fail rate of over 50%?!?!

The earlier launch did help in NA lots of early adapters have shown their friends their favorite games making them want to buy a 360. That didn't really happen with PS3 especially since it had very few AAA games early on. That is not the case anymore but America has been slow to take notice because PS3 hardly has any ads. Sure I see an occasional Kevin Butler God of War or MLB the Show ad, but last Sunday I opened my newspaper and there was zero PS3 ads. Yet, Target, Bestbuy, Gamestop, Toysrus were all advertising The Splinter Cell Bundle and the new Wii with Wii Sports Resort.
