In a later tweet, he gave several vague hints at what it might be about. According to the Metal Gear Solid creator, his next game will challenge a “certain kind of taboo.” He seems to be putting his career on the line for it as well by stating, if his next project turns out to be a mistake, he will leave the gaming industry. Even so, Hideo Kojima seems quite optimistic as he also revealed that he found one companion who approved of the risk.

He previously hinted that the new project will have “mecha” in it, which could mean a new Metal Gear Solid title, Zone of the Enders game or a completely new intellectual property.

Hideo Kojima and his team at Kojima Productions are currently developing Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The PSP exclusive title will be released on June 8th in North America.

Well, if he can't make a game on the same level as MGS, then he should leave, he made one of the best game series in history, no need for his name to be soiled by releasing subpar games.
