Forums - Gaming - my FFXIII log almost no spoilers

Radha you lost all your credibility when you said a 5 year old could beat this game

If you think you can beat the very hard monster sin this game by randomly chosing paradigm combinations we are done talking here as thats borderline silly.

You made a similar flamebait thread on FFXIII 1 week ago saying its being hailed as a major disappointment, yet the user review average on this site is 9.5, yet the user review average on most major sites is high.

If you didn't like this game fine, but atleast don't make silly statements like you made in your last post, they do not help your credibility. And your analogies are ridiculous, you clearly have an agenda here, which has been made obvious

Oh and wagram is a big JRPG player, FFXIII delivers on all fronts for a JRPG.....FUN & exciting battle system, unforgettable storyline & characters, great world/lore/myth, fantastic soundtrack, excellent graphics.

Excuse if I'm not crying over sidequests that were always boring anyway.

By far the greatest game this year so far.

2nd greatest game this generation.

2nd best Final Fantasy after FFVII.

I Love the direction they took with FFXIII. They perfected the battle system. The story is one of the greatest I've ever seen in a video game. The world is lively and colorful. The graphics are amazing. The music is WAY better than what I was expecting (10/10 easily). The leveling system is also top notch.

FFXII had no random encounters, so that's not something new in FFXIII.

If you don't think the story in FFXIII is convulted, then you have no idea what game you played for the last 35 hours. I suggest you go back and possibly pay attention to what's going on this time around. Trying to say that they paid more attention to graphics shows me that you paid practically 0 attention to the story.

Also....complaining that the main character is a chick? BOO fucking HOO cry me a river. You're not the first on these forums to make that ridiculous complaint either.

I don't even get the complaints you are making in this thread but whatever, to each his own. The sales and reception of this game among fans speaks for itself, I don't need to defend it.

Oh and I'm going out now to town.

And since I am STUCK on Mission 60 in the game, and since your description of the battle system makes the game sound playable by a newt I'll just leave the controller in my dogs cute paws, he'll probably beat the mission for me since random paradigm combinations can win you this game according to you!

This strategy better work radha!!

All I ask is that Hope and Vanille never appear in another game............ever. :P

You keep saying "battle system".... you have 6 choices!!!! that is is not like that is really a system. is more like a mini menu.

i hate the battle system in this game. i dont get how people like it. any fast pacedness that has been added is negated by the fact that monsters have 10x the hp they used to.

is only 6 choices, and you can retry right way, i bet a monkey could, not sure about a dog.

edit: you can norrow the choices to 3 since you really only need 3, that makes is easier for teh monkey or dog

I generally despise JRPG games, I think the storylines are usually patronsing, childish, unoriginal and unimiginative copies of previous games with crap gameplay thrown in for good measure.  With that first line out of the way I've given 2 JRPG's a go in the last year, Star Hope and FFXIII, Star Hope was pretty garbage and I gave up after 6 hours or so as the characters were just too annoying.  FFXIII on the other hand I'm over 40 hours into now and have really enjoyed it.

The point is they made this game more accessible and as a result have gained extra fans from it, something needs to change with the JRPG genre as its shrinking, this is a positive step in the right direction for me and many others.  The game cannot be beat without serious tactical thought, especially in the later parts of the game where 5 seconds of being in the wrong paradigm and you're dead.

This is exactly what im talking about, this game is made for people like slowmo, but they didnt gainany extra fans since this game will sell as much as 12 did and has one of the lowest meta scores. They have just lost the purist like me. I felt whith this game the same thing i felt when i saw FF spirit whithing and this game has as much to do with FF as that movie had to do with it.

Edit: oh and IGN gave FF 12 a 9.5 score and is one of the wrose FF ever made, in a few month we will be able to have a more accurate impression of this game, when the hype dies off.
