That is true as the main focus is on the grass and the water types.

Yeah, Fire types definitely got the short end of the stick in Gen IV. A lack of new fire types, a lack of new fire type moves (and a tiny percentage are physical attacks, which would make Pokemon like Arcanine, Flareon, and Entei much more useful), and the addition of Stealth Rock in the metagame which turns fire types into mince meat.

Hopefully Black & White will be kinder to them. I'm not a huge fan of the type (Water and Dark types for the win!) but its easy to see that they need some love.

There should also be a fire HM. I would classify Water and Dark types as my favourite as well!

I would also like to see a new Elemental type. Cosmic perhaps (actually that is an awful idea).

Nah. Lance just used things that looked like Dragons because there were a grand total of 4 dragon types in GSC and 3 in RBY. Lance also used Gyrados and Aerodactyl.

Could the new HM be fire orientated.
