Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Splinter Cell: Conviction 5 Hours LONG!!! NO Thanks!

I would play a game with 4 hour story (L4D) over a game a RPG game (Fable)

because

L4D is shot, fast and fun. Its not going to take weeks to beat and you can play with friends also the story wont get dull about 10 hours in.

Deniable ops can be played in single player, There's the different difficulty settings and the fact that different people play games at differing speeds. Some run through whereas others will check out every nook and cranny so that makes the total tim...
ah forget it.
this thread is just for fanboys to troll and hate.

So this is shorter than Adventure Island?

im gonna get it... the demo is AMAZING!

ive just played 60hrs on final fantasy 13 i dont want another MASIVE EPIC.... i recon you could complete halo 3 in 5 hrs but lets face it the MP has lasted 3 years!!!!

if u cant afford both get a decent job!

I am not sure what the issue is.

The game appears to have a short single-player (5 hours) and is built around multi-player.
If you don't like multi-player, then this is probably not the game for you.
(The IGN review makes it sound like the single-player is a training mode for the multi-player)

Reviewers act as if mutiplayer is all that a game needs and all that a gamer wants.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

exactly it's based on the skill of the gamer and a few other factor's. what some people may take even on rush to beat other's may take more time because their skill may not be as good.

I do see quite a number of people is it seem's they base the time total spent seem's to be the shortest time to guage it's value . when I think just Play the game for it's experience is what count's, don't want to buy it rent it!

I do not think it's being trollish or hate , some may but I think because some may put too much stake on a review score over taking the experience for themselves.

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

Wasn't crazy about the demo. I was never a big fan of Splinter Cell but 5 hours is too short. At least we all can look forward to games that doesn't have multiplayer or whatever because you know it'll focus on the single player campaign aka Vanquish that's coming out later or next year.

Before it was said that co-op campaign will include A.I and now it's gone...

Five hours, Really?

Well that sucks, I had always thought these games were supposed to be more single player and that's why I preordered it months and moths ago.

Oh well, my own dumb fault for not researching. At least I only payed $30 for it so it's not that bad of a deal.

And when he said that MGS4 worth 60 bucks, he just saying that SC doesn't.
