Forums - Microsoft - Splinter Cell: Conviction 5 Hours LONG!!! NO Thanks!

Would you like them to add 20 hours of cut scenes so the game is longer like MGS 4?? Now, keep in mind this is going to drop gameplay to 2 hours max so they can get all the scenes in! ;)

well since i canceled my live account 2 yrs ago and my system is modded and banned getting this for free seems the only way to go if the 5 SP is for real.

So your saying Conviction is really only two hours after cutting the cut scenes. Shit, even madder now!

You've never ever touched MGS4 have you?  Sigh....some people really take what they hear to stupid extremes without ever playing the actual game.  Even without cutscenes I assure you MGS4 is more than 5 hours long.

I dont even think this guy has a 360... just a guess of course. his post history defies his claims of being multi-platform. live id?

not only that. but who the hell doesnt like multiplayer?!

Is it really that hard to believe multiplayer isn't for everyone? I can tolerate it on occasion, particularly with fighting games, but I don't enjoy it. The only time I have ever been on Live for multiplayer is when I got a free trial and that was about 3 years ago. I haven't even updated my firmware. I'm still using the original.

yes. it really is. i am not joking. How do you not enjoy beating/teaming others? i find it unhuman.

Some of us have busy schedules+kids+other things to do with life so sometimes gaming takes a back seat.

I'm a full time university student with 2 kids and 1 on the way, not to mention I run a business and have to keep the household running. My wife also works.

My time that I can devote to gaming is very precious and a compelling single player experience gets precedence over being called a ****** on a multiplayer service while doing the same redundant shit over and over and over again.

That being said, I will not drop 60$ (70$ here in Canada), on somehting so short. 8 hours is my cut off point for paying full price for a game. I will pick it up when it hits the bargain bin.

5 hours omg uncharted 2 was 5 hours and i still loved it so whats the differences with this game

Uncharted 2 was not 5 hours.

yeah i basically beat it in 4 hours 30 min first play through so i think its save to say its a 5 hour game

You must have rushed through it. It took me twice as long to beat it. There's no way you did'nt rush through the game.

That's disappointing.

If your that busy, why even game at all. I personally have nothing but time on my hands.Multiplayer is'nt as bad as you put it. I personally can't get enough of it. It is'nt redundant at all. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I'm buying this game. So what if it's short. I'd rather have a short and sweet sp campaign, then a long and drawn out campaign that never ends.

Rent Splinter Cell Conviction then. How long do they let you keep new releases these days? I have a mail-in rental subscription instead and I haven't rented from Blockbuster or any other those video stores for ages so I wouldn't know.

@oldschoolfool

Just because he's incredibly busy doesn't mean that he shouldn't partake in some gaming. A life that is all work and no play is not a life worth living.
