Forums - Nintendo - Monster Hunter 3 got a 91 SCORE on ONM

That's encouraging to hear. I can tell this game is going to take up a ridiculous amount of my time. Just seems like the type of game I can see myself playing for hours on end. I've got the PSP game to help hype me up for this one and teach me the ropes.

Great score; ONM are not really stingy when it comes to scoring hyped up exclusives though. Anyways, I've already preordered the treasure box limited edition (MH3 + CC + Wii Speak). Can't wait to slay some monsters with you guys!

Clearly the reviewer spilled hot tea on themselves with all the awesome Tri was exuding he probably couldn't help himself and jumped in awesome only for the hot tea to spill, it was his favorite tea as well... I understand and accept the 9% deduction for hot tea, I would do the same.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

I think this game'll be a hit in the West.

It's not leaps and bounds better then the first 2 games, not much has really changed other then minor tweaks.

This game should have been a major hit in the west with the first one, however lack of advertising is to blame and the fact that it was at the time so niche that it's reviews weren't garnered very well. It did gain a very small, but extremely dedicated cult following in NA. We begged and begged for MH2, but never got it until it released in the form of MH2P. Which itself wasn't really a direct port, but it was close enouph and a damn good game at that. Over the years the cult following grew thanks to word of mouth and the PSP versions of the game.

Now capcom is trying to push it harder in the west instead of pulling the "oh it didn't sell well enouph in the west" card that many of us got when we were asking for it.

Anyway, back to my main point. It should have been a success in the west with the first release, but capcom didn't advertise nearly as much as it should have....

NOW I WANT MY GAME GIMME GIMME! *drools*

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

I'm glad this series is finally getting the recognition it deserves.
Hopefully we can make this a huge success in the West.

Lately, I've been playing the demo for a little taste of that monster killing action.
Ah ... hurry up 4/20!
