Yup. Essentially, the hacker who blew Linux open, thus circumventing PS3's usually watertight security, was wrong to do it - and very wrong to post that fact all over the internet. It was inevitable that Sony would want to close that loophole. In fact, the almighty mess created by the apparent illegality of Sony's actions (ie, Amazon reimbursing customers) is only going to hurt Sony, and thus, Sony fans if Sony is endangered by the sudden loss of revenue that the sudden mass refunding might cause.
