FF XIII performs better on the playstation 3, as the xbox 360 version's resolution is much lower to the point that it doesn't render in high definition, in addition to it's visuals being slightly inferior, and the fact it is 3 discs compared to one blu ray on playstation 3. The cutscenes are also compressed to just standard HD resolution on XBOX 360, while the cutscenes on playstation 3 are not comparessed and in full 1080p HD.

You enjoy fighters and JRPGS the most? You definitely need a PS3.


The 360 D-Pad is considered shit by the majority(which is a turn down for any fighter fan), but the PS3's D-Pad is perfect for fighters. Shame that DoA isn't on the PS3, though.


MOST so called JRPG "exclusives" on the 360 end up getting released on the PS3 with added features, fixed bugs, etc. (Ex. Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean: The Last Hope).
The PS3 is receiving many JRPGs in the future and already has great exclusives such as Demon's Souls and White Knight Chronicles.

both are great systems, jrpg's are pretty much the same on both. 360 has lost odyssey and ps3 has demons souls, based on the tech / games / ps1 support / future tech i would say get a ps3.

valkyria chronicles another amazing game :) and all the ps one stuff, i can bet ps2 stuff will make its way by the end of the year , most likely will be an announcement at e3

Best fighter this generation: Street Fighter IV
Best JRPG this generation: Demon's Souls - actually I consider it the best RPG this generation, not only JRPG

yog: I'm a lawyer. :) Yeah it required some hardcore commitment to graduate on and get masters. Not so much I'd need to quit gaming altogether, but it was an option I made.

leo-j: If FFXIII is superior on the PS3 then indeed I should get a PS3. Less discs also help.

There's alot of incomming JRPG for ps3 like 3D dot heroes,Trinity universe,alteir rorona and disgaea 4! all confirmed to be comming =)

This site is very pro PS3 so this a bad site to post on(then again possibly every site has a slant); but heres my take. They pretty much have all the same stuff. Check out which controller you like better as they are quite different. Also check out Natal for Xbox360 and the PS3 "Wand"(it might now be called "Move" not %100 sure) to see which one of the 2 wacky controllers you will want to try as both are being released this year.

PS:You are a lawyer and can probably afford both.

Yes, definitely base your decision on what motion controllers will be coming out later this year, rather than what games you want to play.
