Reader zachstr just took part in a survey for Sony, about the company's PlayStation Network. For some reason, amidst all the gaming stuff, were these questions about fast food.

Now, Sony could just be asking for marketing purposes. Arrange something in terms of advertising, or sponsorship, with the outlets that prove most popular.

But it could be for something else. The survey was specifically for the PlayStation Network, after all. Could Sony be looking at doing something similar to Nintendo, whose "Food Delivery Channel" lets Japanese Wii owners order a variety of food for delivery via their console.

Doesn't seem like something too hard for either Sony or these companies to arrange. If you can order a pizza via the internet or an iPhone, there's no reason you couldn't do so from your PlayStation 3 as well.

You could order online with the browser. Not saying it's fun, or accessible but this nerd was lazy enough to not leave the couch.

you can order on your ps3 with the internet, not exactly revolutionary. They have those kind of apps on the iphone as well. They seem to be talking about Japan though, all i know is i wouldn't want to pay for delivery in Japan. You can order a pizza but it'll put you back $25-$40 for 1 large pizza. It's tasty with loads of crazy toppings you can get but the price is out of control.

Wouldn't that get a little messy? I mean the disc slot is pretty narrow. Te most it could deliver without too much hassle would be mini tortillas with no fillings. Even a thin crust pizza would clog up the works a bit, requiring frequent cleaning.

They could blend it, then it would work!

Haha, I'm still amazed at the fact that I can now order a pizza through my phone, and receive a text when it's done and on it's way. The pre-take away shit is an issue, no more!

Internet ordering sucks in my area. It takes like 30-40 minutes via phone, but over an hour if you order online.
