I could imagine that Square would be a gigantic and great purchase for Sony. They already own some percent of square. But if they would buy it completly. Then they would forever own Japan. (FF and DQ exclusive for PS and PSP)

They would really profit from it.

They have 3D dot game heroes coming next month.

They are both PS3 exclusives and the team is a small one. The games also have a distinct japanese flavour. I think it fits the bill where SCEJ could buy them.

Time will tell though.

Dont think it will happen though

When you think about it they really can dominate the Japanease market if they purchase Square Enix at least in terms of JRPG's and we all know that the biggest thing over there and Square Enix got the biggest JRPG franchises...

Think about getting the Final Fantasy franchise... a 100 million franchise and Dragon Quest a 53 million franchise

Man that would be fucking mind blowing if they buy them
