No. PSP Go is considered PSP Go.
4000 will be more like the previous style.

Yep, I've noted before that each sale of Go at $249 likely brings a big profit. But if they want to move units and not hear "ZOMG PSP is dead!" *all* they have to do is slash the price of PSPGo, and I'd personally say down to $149. It's a great game machine and multimedia device at that price point. Compare it to DS at $129, and iTouch at...whatever it's priced at. PSN game sales would jump, too, once they got more PSPGo's out there.
No - SONY will announce a PSP2 to complete with Nintendo's 3DS.
It only makes sense for SONY to abandon the PSP now that Nintendo has announced the successor to the DS will be released this fiscal year.

I'm not exactly sure on what it states but I believe the number for the Go was N1000. So it's technically a different branch.
