Oh. my. god. Then my so so xbox360 games you named before - oblivion, mass effect - are now declared great??? Not so many hours of fun and a lot of hours of meh on actually great games??? Jesus, i feel so dumb for not having fun playing them!

You played Mass Effect 2 and you didn't think it was one of the greatest games of the generation? Really? Gonna have to call bullshit on that.

I agree with you that there are few truly great games on the Wii (maybe not just 3, more like 6) but you're giving those games way too little credit and you're forcing your opinion on everyone here as if it's fact. Just stop.

I'm forcing my opinion on everyone here? How the hell am I doing that? Have I got a mind control ray that I am spraying around the internet?

And hey, I agree with you that there are truly few great games on the Wii.

Never played Mass Effect 2. Just Mass Effect - which i have.

But the point is: I don't like WRPGs and I don't think that they're great. So even if I play Mass Effect 2 I'm not gonna find it great - no matter what you say to me! So stop telling me they're absolutely great, because they're not. They're great for people who find them great!

Even worse is oblivion, which I find one of the worst games (definately the most generic) of this generation! But you'll probably won't believe this either, won't you, because I bet it too is sooo great!!!

BTW, I've found this argument to be enjoyable and somewhat enlightening. I've actually been considering getting a Wii to catch some of the excellent JRPGs coming down the pipeline, and I'd been wondering if I'd been overlooking some games that had already been released. That looks to not be the case, however.

Mass Effect 1 is not a great game, I'll be the first to admit that. It has some serious flaws.

I don't like Oblivion either, personally. But I can acknowledge that it's a great game, just like I can acknowledge that Super Mario Galaxy is a great game in spite of the fact that I don't like easy-mode cartoon platformers.

All this "everything is relative!!" stuff is a copout, and a cowardly one at that. No, not everything is relative. Some games are great, most games are not. One of my personal favorite games is Spyro 2 for the PS1, but you're not going to catch me arguing that it's a fundamentally great game that stands tall among the classics of the generation.

Bioshock = just another shooter where you have to use the analog to aim the enemies. Sorry but since I played Metroid 3 for the first time, can't use the analog to aim anymore.

By the away, more then 10 million (including me) prefer to play NSMBW instead of GoW3, how can it be a just good game?

100% Agree.

Metroid Prime Trilogy/3 has a great gameplay with the wiiremote.

After Metroid 3, I've been having problems to play FPS even on the PC... Nintendo, how could you do that to me?

And Re4 has a great gameplay for a TPS. Of course Metroid Prime is gigantic. Waiting to play Other M.

Yes RE4 was really improved with the new controls on the Wii played it alot last year and someday I will finish it again! Sure Other M is one my most anticipated games of 2010, but can't wait to play the new Zelda with a 1:1 sword control.  Nintendo please stop teasing me with those amazing, unique and exclusive games =P

I'm sorry, a Wii port of RE4 is an "amazing, unique, and exclusive game?" Because of Wiimote-aiming?

No it's not. A Wii port of RE4 is a Wii port of RE4. RE4 was a great game when it came out on the GameCube, but rereleasing old games with new control schemes just isn't impressive at all.

Sorry, I was talking about the games to be released this year, this why a used the word "teasing" =P

He's talking about Other M and Zelda Wii. They are exclusive and unique games because are only for Wii and with a new gameplay. At least Other M.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I'm sure Zelda Wii will be wonderful. I have my doubts about Other M. But neither of those games have been released yet, so my original point still stands: the Wii has been slogging its way through a near-total dearth of great games ever since its release.

So in conclusion.

Some guy points outs that though the Wii has had some software limitations in the pat, this year is a very good year with a strong line up of major games.

The result is two pages of ridiculous argument. Get a grip guys.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Welcome to internet forums, people have been known to argue on them.

Wii's lineup this year this year is simply stunning, even outside the "big 3" (and my that I mean Mario, Metroid and Monster Hunter <3).   Lots of nichey goodness like Shiren the Wanderer, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, Arc Rise Fantaisa, Lost in Shadow, Sin & Punishment 2, Sengoku Basara, etc.  There's WiiWare stuff like Cave Story, La-Mulana, Light Trax, MegaMan 10, Bit.Trip Runner... hell, even the Virtual Console's been delivering recently with stuff like Dracula X, Ironclad and Ogre Battle 64.  It's like Hell's frozen over, there's literally been almost too much to play (nevermind the sizable backlogs my poor neglected DSi and 360 are also building).

I need more time.  And money.  And time.
