Hey, OP, senior in college here. You don't have to spend a lot of time or money to play games. I've bought, at most, 2 games a year since I started college, or $100 worth of games, or $400 total. College is expensive. You're going to spend at least $50,000 on college, and that's if you're going to a public school. An extra $500 isn't going to kill you.

Also, open source/free PC games are fantastic.

Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.

This generation of consoles will probably be my last gen that I will be involved in. Same, got way more money to spend on games after school, and especially after college. And it should be like that for everyone unless you're from a super welathy family that suddenly bankrupts and you're spoilt enough not to be able to get any kind of a job.
