Sony and some of the home entertainment industry see this as a big thing in the future. in the past 3d technology also booming but the hardware and the development price are unreasonable.
now with the 3d tv and projection hardware are pretty cheap, people are looking forward for 3d film again, avatar and alice in wonderland is some of the film.
personally, i'm still sceptical about this 3d also, but Sony intrest me by the idea of combining the 3d and PS MOVE.....
lol people actually think that 3d will pop in and regular hd viewing will be obsolete lol. its the only reason i can think of , why are so many people bashing 3d..?
people are still running television shows and satellite channels with sub hd resolutions , there are tons of television sets out there that are still regular crt, its gonna take at least another 10 years before something becomes the standard , new tech is being created and released to the public all the time but that doesnt mean instantly its obsolete.
there are a lot of people out there who dedicate their careers to pushing technology and this is how it will always be , you will only have the best of something for a limited time the problem isnt the technology so much its the fact that peoples egos get mixed in with it.
i wont be buying a new tv for at least another 4 years so well see whats out then , 3d looks great but it isnt practical for me

Easy answer, we see in 3D, life is in 3D, 2D was force by limited technology to begin with. 2D has never been a choice over 3D. Thats what the big deal is about.

I think it's best to wait and see how good it is and how much you'd need to spend. Obviously the tv is gonna cost a shit load but the ps3 update is supposedly free. Once you get the update, there's no obligation to buy anything so you can just ignore it but if you have a 3d enabled tv you can go for it. |
Actually they have release every details related to it but games and TV prices and specs.
You have to start with a technology you want to market somewhere, why not start this generation with a view to it being a standard on their next console.
Sony is copying Nintendo after Nintendo announced their 3D hand held. Thats what is happening. RIGHT? RIGHT?
I kid.
