People are thinking this is norm for Ps3 HW and SW will be dissapointed next month and so on. Ps3 is coming off a huge gaming month in March and built up demand from the shortages boosted it. Japan will level off and so will Americas in April.

What version of a 360 do you think most parents are going to buy their child if they see it? Arcade. It is just cheaper, and saves them money.

according to NPD most of the 360's hardware sales come from the arcade, there was a thread about it.

the ELITE was below the arcade, but above the 250gb PS3 I believe.

That was for one month so it doesn't really prove anything, previous figures have shown the elite selling better. We'll probably have a better idea with this month's figures whether or not the Arcade is now the bigger selling one or if it was just for that month.

I'm not surprised the Elite's sales are down, in the US it's the same price as the PS3, well the PS3 clearly offers more features for that price

 

 

And I don't understand why people keep saying the 360 is having terrible sales it's up YOY and I think it's fairly steady in Others. So 360 is not doing badly, the PS3 is just do amazingly well

Yes for February (although I still don't fully concede since they neglected to give a 360 ASP that they used for the chart).  February sales were likely caused by the releases of ME2 and Bioshock 2.  March will probably be back to the 360 being at an ASP of $270 (or 70% Elite).
