So far, everyone's predictions are low on all three games.

MH3: 200k (120k America, 80k Others + whatever it sold in Japan)
Other M: 600k (400k America, 150k Others, 60k Japan)
SMG2: 1.8 million (1 million America, 500k Others, 350k Japan)

Why is everyone low balling MH3? Preorders are healthy and that's for US alone.

MH3 - 380k
Metroid - 600k
Mario Galaxy - 1.7 million

True, but I wonder if Super Metroid was very popular in Japan back in the days?

It sold 700k in Japan iirc.

What I see is very low expectations for MH3...is 5 weeks away and it has about 60k preorders just in the US, it would sell 100k in the US right now, will likely sell 150k FW just in the US! Others is difficult to predict, but it safe to say it'll pass 200k FW, IMO it will sell 250-300k WW FW.

Metroid will sell well but for me it's too early to guess if it'll sell well or not.

Galaxy 2 will likely sell better FW than the previous one, I would say in both US (800k?) and Others (200-300k?), so WW I think 1.5 m isn't out of the question, maybe 1.3-4 is the most likely guess.
