That's the point. The logic behind PS3 being better technology than the Wii means Wii won't last is like saying due to PSP having better technology than the DS the PSP will win.

Neither has obviously happened yet. DS is still crushing in sales. Appearance means nothing. Facts mean everything.

I am not saying anything about the Wii not lasting, or even not winning. I simply said it won't beat PS2 sales.

It's a matter of opinion, on that one, and the same for this discussion.

The psp is better than the DS in every way possible. Except for the games department.

I Pesrsonally don't think, competition has any baring on the wii, due to the fact that even when MS released halo and had the surge of sales (console wise) it did not affect the Wii in the slightest, it carried on selling out. And i think a lot of the HD crowd who haven't purchased one now, will get it later due to the different games it comes out with. Wether it can beat the PS2's 120 mil mark is quite possible, but i dont no about the 200+ mil, seems a bit of a stretch,

Game Gear's battery life was quite horrid. I could barely finish Sonic sometimes.



Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players

Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability

Therefore, Checkers > Halo

So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.

 It also has worse battery life and less innoative control schemes. More on topic, the Wii is

selling faster than  the PS2 did oer the same time period. That is fairly strong evidence that it will

outswll the system long term.

Is it really? I don't think there's a single week this year that the PS2 has beat the Wii, and out of the five random weeks I checked from the charts, the Wii sold more in all but one or two of them.


Think ya must have misread my post. The PS2 is the SECOND biggest selling console WW in 2007 behind the Wii. As a side topic anyone care to guess how much a PS2 costs Sony to make in 2007?
