Animal Crossing is over 5m in Japan on DS, over 11m worldwide, essentially 3-4x the success of the GC version & Wii versions individually. One of the four DS games to top 5m in Japan

Friend Collection interest seems partially dependent on how many people are discovering and enjoying their Miis on Wii in any given week. I haven't actually tried to correlate them, but I think there is probably a decent R value there, maybe 0.6 to 0.8 - probably not super strong though as the game has to be in stock and DS hw impacts it too obviously. I don't see why it Tomodachi Collection can't get to 4.5m or so in Japan. Look at how it is trending against the DS mega hits in Japan. Animal Crossing DS may briefly fall behind the Tomodachi Collection pace over there.

Something weird I noticed... why is BH5AE being counted with BH5 PS3? They're not really the same game, it'd be like combining BH1 with the later Director's Cut? Hell, VGC doesn't even combine the Dual Shock rereleases of BHDC and BH2 with the originals? :/

Isn't it basically like a GOTY Edition, just BH5 with the DLC included on the disc? For the US Xbox version I think they didn't even include it on the disc, they just put DLC codes in the box.

BH5AE also adds motion control (once Move releases).  That's the main thing that separates it from just downloading the DLC on vanilla RE5.  Also, there is no Xbox 360 version, at least in Japan.

The problem for me is more consistency.  Every previous Biohazard rerelease (BHDC, BHDC Dual Shock, BH2 Dual Shock) is separated, yet this one's combined. :/

I think motion control will be a patch for all versions, they won't only patch it for BH5AE and leave the people who bought the DLC instead to go without.

Nope.  Move support was announced as being for the rerelease only.

Source? I can't find anything on Google saying it's for the rerelease only.

Okay, find anything on google saying it'll be dlc. ;)

I didn't say it will be DLC, I just said I "think" it will be patched in. The announcement doesn't even mention motion controls for either the disc or DLC.

RE5Gold won't have it at all, that's been confirmed by Capcom USA already.  So far, only BH5AE will have Move support.  Maybe we'll see another US rerelease around Move launch that has it too, but as of now we just don't know.

The only mentions ever for Move controls came from Japan actually...
