The complaint (as I understand it, and certainly MY complaint) is not that it is a bad game. The complaint is that it is now just another shooter game instead of the survival horror we all love. If Capcom had made the game under the name 'shoot teh badguys for teh lulz' I suspect it would receive nothing but praise

scottie, you have to assemble a team and make 'shoot teh badguys for teh lulz' right now! I am officially preordering it with you sight unseen.

OT: You're preachin' to the choir me boy, my personal GOTY 2009. Played it 8 times, 8 frickin times! I've never played a game that much not named Diablo, KOTOR or Final Fantasy.

Haha, it wouldn't be a team without you.

I can put you as executive sass writer, and it's your job to decide what the characters say as they shoot teh bad guys for teh lulz

It's an awesome game. The only disappointing part about the game is that it becomes too easy when all your weapons are upgraded to max, even if you are playing on professional mode.

It was a good game, but it wasn't as good as all the other resident evil games. The enviroments just were'nt as good to me.

I didn't like it because Capcom fucked up the controls. I couldn't even get past the first level because I hated the controls so much.

I Loved RE5, though i admit the Game play is outdated And its not scary anymore.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

RE5 was a nice romp. But what it lacked was the feel of a classic. It felt more like RE0 or 3 than for instance 1,2,4 or Veronica. It was fun, but forgattable and in today's gaming there are lots of games like that. RE5 was a pretty fun, but easily forgotten experience.

That said despite my hate for DLC when I had my wisdom teeth pulled I had a blast with the recent releases thanks to Live.

Where RE5 failed to grab me was the story, the gameplay was mostly pretty solid. Well except whats-her-face.

Sheva is a great character, depends who and how you control her. And to the guy who stated that the controls are bad, if u played re4 then you shouldn't be talking cuz they're bout the same.

all the people that say RESIDENT EVIL 5 is bad have to admit that they atleast somewhat liked it. I went on the capcom forums and there were a lot of people who loved it and a handful who didn't. But most posted in one of the threads how much they played it, and... most of them had 200+ hours on the game, even if they didn't like it. It just made me think about it because people say they don't like it, but play it. RE5 was great but people want classic RE so they say it sucks so that capcom changes it even though they did like it.

Don't write "because it's not scary", if you loved RE4 and not the others then you have no right to say it needs to be scarier or it's bad compared to it because they are the same with minor differences. Older RE's were great but then the same formula for the 3 got boring so they changed it so that they get fans

I also hope they change the next RE so thet it gives us a fresh experience. But RE5 was great.

I liked it when i started to see it as something that isn't Resident Evil

It is a funny "Shooter" that is nice to speedrun and getting better and better.
But if you see it as a Resident Evil this game is even worse than the Gun Survivor Games.
Resident Evil was never ultra scary but this isn't Survival,Horror or something like this - Just a Mix from a shooter with something else.

Resident Evil 4 had a completely different feeling when you played it the 1st time.
It was dark, the 1st time that the "Zombies" are running and so on....
When i 1st played i often thought "OMFG i have to get out of here" but with RE5 there was only "BÄM HEADSHOT omg nice - There goes the brain"

My favorite games are the titles before RE4 but at least RE4 had something left from Resident Evil

I played the 360,PS3 AND PC Version for 100% but started really early to see it as a completely "New" Game even if Captain Steroid Chris and so on were there.

There wasn't really a sense of tension in RE5. You're always with another person and a cutscene plays every single time a horde of Majini is coming so you know they're coming, and there's usually some daylight. RE4 by comparison has you taking on two El Gigante at the same time while being solo, showing Redfield being inferior to Leon needing help to take out Wesker.

Well i always waited to play a RE game with my brother and now i can with a black character too, so i love it. But RE4 and RE5 felt like a side story to the originals. Can't wait to play RE5 with the move too.
